A self educated entrepreneur since 1991, found a niche in the e-waste industry in 1998 after identifying the value of end-of-life computer equipment at Nulogix laptop repair center( formerly an IBM company), Marlon was inspired to start up a company and begin the process of acquiring mainly off-lease laptops for refurbishing, re-use and recycling of raw materials.
In 2008, after many years of developing knowledge and relationships in the e-waste industry, Marlon decided to focus on consulting services for those in the e-waste industry who needed help with management of their e-was concerns. The services Marlon provided helped companies to identify value within their waste-stream while streamlining their processes.
Consultation services were provided to SMEs, large corporations and government. At the time there were many consultants in the waste management industry, however very few had the working knowledge and experience that Marlon had, more specifically, in the e-waste management industry. The knowledge and experience gained over the years in the e-waste industry gave Marlon a strategic advantage over other waste management consultants.
During his time as an e-waste consultant, Marlon was able to assist one of Canada's largest e-waste processors to streamline their processes , identify value in their e-waste collected and increase their profit significantly.
